Hey Southern Hemisphere girls, women, and non-binary riders—mark your calendars for September 26 because The Uninvited Boarding Pass is coming to Cardrona Alpine Resort in New Zealand.
The Uninvited has been expanding ever since it started in 2017, with stops in Europe, Japan, North America, and now New Zealand.
They're calling this The Uninvited Boarding Pass, and they're collaborating with She'll Be Right—an established platform for women, girls, and non-binary participants within New Zealand's snowsports community. Which makes sense. Meet the people where they're at, work together, and help the communities already doing the work.
Hosted as part of She'll Be Right's annual event, this qualifier is another step in creating more opportunities for Southern Hemisphere riders and a direct pathway into one of snowboarding's biggest street contests.

Here's what you need to know:
- This is an official qualifier rail jam that will award one emerging rider a coveted spot at the 2027 Uninvited Invitational in the USA.
- The winner will also receive $4,000 NZD toward travel expenses to get to the final event in spring 2027.
- The event takes place at Cardrona Alpine Resort on Saturday, September 26.
- Expect a custom rail setup and a judged format inspired by The Uninvited Invitational itself—proper style, trick selection, and good times over everything.
- The opportunity is reserved for riders who have not previously competed in The Uninvited Invitational.
The Uninvited was started by Jess Kimura in 2017 after seeing plenty of talented girls, women, and non-binary riders without a proper platform to showcase their riding. What began as an award-winning film trilogy has grown into one of snowboarding's premier street competitions, with the goal of creating real opportunities and changing the landscape for the next generation of riders.
Stay up to date with The Uninvited by following them on Instagram and visiting their website. If you're eligible and thinking about entering, you can find official contest rules and entry information on their site.
