THRICE BAKED Ep. 3 – Third Bake: Final Serving | Spring Snowboarding in Revelstoke, Utah & Mammoth

  |   SLUSH STAFF

THRICE BAKED is a 3-part snowboard series following Katie Kennedy and Stefi Luxton as they break winter into three chapters.

Ep. 3 — Third Bake: Final Serving.

The series finale, picks up where RnD left off. With a Natural Selection alternate spot secured, the crew headed north to Revelstoke, British Columbia. Between contest days, we explored the backcountry, following Robin Van Gyn and Hana Beaman into new zones. While they ripped around on sleds, we built a step-down – little did we know that would be a last time sledding and riding decent powder this year. From there, it was a 16-hour drive back to Utah.

A low-snow season meant Miracle March never fully arrived, but that didn’t stop us from making the most of what we had. We built jumps in the Brighton sidecountry, Katie got a few stitches, and we linked with some of our favorite shredders, Egan Wint & Max Warbington, for a quarterpipe spring session. Then it’s two flights to Seattle, a truck loaded with sleds, and a full push north into Nelson, British Columbia for RnD — Robin Van Gyn’s women’s backcountry event at Whitewater Resort. Two film days, one contest day, 16 riders, and a shot at cash, awards, and Natural Selection seats.

To cap off the season, we invited skateboarders Hayley Wilson and Nicole Hause to Mammoth Lakes for a few days at the Endurance Crib, courtesy of Visit Mammoth. Emma Crosby launched footballs at Hayley mid-boardslide, backflip attempts were made (and mostly failed), and we built a hip at Dave's Wave before riding into the sunset to close out the 2026 baking season. This is the final chapter of THRICE BAKED — a snowboard web series rooted in backcountry snowboarding, creative freedom, and making the most of whatever winter throws your way. Spring snowboarding has always been about long days, slushy laps, and good friends.

This episode is a reminder that you don't need perfect conditions to create lasting memories—just a crew willing to build something and have fun. This is the thrid chapter of THRICE BAKED — a snowboard web series rooted in backcountry snowboarding, creative freedom, and trusting the process.
