Ojo Park and Ojo Fest 2023 — Vans Snowboarding

OJO FEST

From Vans Snowboarding Desk:

When the people that knew and loved Vans Snowboarding team member Dillon Ojo reminisce on his legacy, several topics surface: his sublime skill on a snowboard, his thousand-watt smile, his gregarious personality, and, often above all else, his love of community and personal mission to make the world of snowboarding more accessible to underprivileged youth.

Even after Ojo’s passing in 2018, he remains a key member of the Vans Snowboarding family, and since 2022 Vans Snowboarding has teamed with the Dillon Ojo Lifeline Foundation and the Montreal Olympic Park to help Ojo fulfill his mission through the “Ojo Park.” A free-to-use terrain park outside Montreal’s Olympic Stadium, Ojo Park will throw its gates open with “Ojo Fest 2023,” a celebration of Montreal’s snowboarding community.

January 21 marks both the date of Ojo Fest 2023 and the grand opening of Ojo Park for the winter season. A day-long event, Ojo Fest features a snowboarding jam, appearances from Vans Snowboarding team members, an open-format cash-for-tricks contest sponsored by EMPIRE, a “Learn to Snow'' workshop for budding shredders and giveaways of Ojo’s signature Hi-Standard OG snowboarding boots.

Food from Montreal hotspots is another key piece of the event, with ADAMO Pizza serving slices, while DJ sets from Felix Patry will keep the vibes flowing.

Ojo Park is located at 4545 Pierre-de Coubertin Ave in Montreal. After it opens with Ojo Fest on January 21, it’ll remain open to the public through all of March.
